BLUE was a photo "competition" done with JSU Marketing Team. We headed out individually in Jönköping to photograph based on the prompt "Blue". We had only two hours at hand to capture and edit three photos which were later put on exhibition at Jönköping Marknad for pedestrians to vote for their favourite photo. I ended up winning the vote!
Photo 1  (Winner)
My first photo, which turned out to be the winner of the public vote, features two heart shaped locks tied together on Munksjöbron. Blue can be interpreted as the color of love, which became the theme for this photo. The locks themselves also has a cool look to them with names scribbled on the clear red heart-shaped case and a hard backlight giving them an almost artificial look.
Photo 2
My second photo more clearly represents blue as a color, reflected in the glass of a building in central Jönköping. I love the geometry and color contrasts in this image, with more time on my hands the sign post in the bottom right corner would have been removed to better present the building.
The photo was intentionally taken vertically with some of the building cropping the image. I wanted the facade to fill almost the entire frame, contrasting the industrial textures with the clear blues.
Photo 3
The third photo returns to the theme of blue as the color of love. I found the light falling on the women very wholesome, with some fantasy i imagine how the feeling of love light them up from inside, creating the intensely warm light that through reflections on the buildings, seem to hit them from all direction.
