Lightdance was a personal project created by me to practice motion tracking, but also to practice realistically integrating effects into the real world.
The base footage was shot by me to later be motion tracked using After Effects. I then animated the dancer by finding a real breakdance clip on youtube and drawing over it. The dancer was added into the motion tracked footage and was made more realistic by adding glow and reflections to the floor and glass.
I felt something was missing whereas the text was animated and added. Just like the dancer, efforts were made to make it more realistic, like making the text behind the bus stop interact with the glass.
Finally, some last effects like particles were added for immersion. Also the second, more simple, scene was done just to add another element to the video.
